Valeria Metz is a creative powerhouse. She’s a film photographer, host of the Hey Amigas podcast, content creator, Latina creative and above all, a rata girl.
Valeria’s rata ethos flies in the face of every ‘Clean Girl Aesthetic’ tutorial (+309K videos and counting) and proves that sometimes being a grubby, debaucherous, party-loving rata is good for the soul.
That’s Niche: Being a ‘Rata Girl’
Valeria’s Expertise:
I never fit in with the clean-girl aesthetic. I would share TMI with my friends about how crusty I could be, and then, behold, a rata was born. One of my best friends told me I inspire her because I wear stains on my clothes and don’t care.
Being a rata girl means you don’t CARE. Just live your life and embrace the cringe.
1. Scurry around outside - especially late at night
Wait till it's dark, grab your friend and go cause some rata mischief
2. Kill the cringe - rats don’t get embarrassed
You think rats get embarrassed when you catch them in a bin? Embrace their no-cringe attitude
3. Eat, snack, nibble
Why limit yourself to three meals? Grazing is the rata way
4. Embrace your wild energy
Be a hot mess, always. This one explains itself but honestly, why play it safe?
Embrace your inner rata and start living it up.

GAINZ
Get out there and be a little grub. And maybe take up weightlifting. Valeria’s the third guest to recommend it (@Ben, @RadichioSalad), so don’t be surprised if I come back with weightlifting affiliate links.
